When completing an Activated Checklist instance, you have three options for viewing the steps.
Show all steps
Steps to be completed by me
Steps I can complete now
These options are useful for providing greater clarity around who is doing what in a process.
Note: the filters work best on checklists that have roles assigned to specific steps. On a checklist with no roles assigned at all, therefore any Collaborator can complete the step, the filters will not show or hide anything.
The below video will provide you with a quick introduction to the filters.
Show all steps
Show all steps is the default view for your Activated Checklist instances. It will show all the steps that can be completed, regardless of if your role is assigned to the step or not.
Steps to be completed by me
The Steps to be completed by me filter will hide any steps that are assigned to roles that you aren't performing in that checklist.
For example, if a Checklist Instance contains steps that any role can complete, and steps for a role that you're assigned to as well as steps for roles you are not assigned to, applying this filter will only show the steps for anyone and your role. Basically, it filters out the steps assigned to other roles.
How to apply the Steps to be complete by me filter
When in the Checklist Instance, select the filter icon that looks like an eye
Choose the Steps to be completed by me option
Example of applying the Steps to be completed by me filter
In the below example, there are steps assigned to four roles, Sales, Technical Support, Tester, and Development.
Assuming your role is Development, after applying the filter, your Activated Checklist will filter out the other roles and look like the below screenshot
The presence of the double lines indicates that there is steps hidden by the filter.
Steps I can complete now
The Steps I can complete now filter will also hide any steps that are assigned to roles that you aren't performing in that checklist. In addition to this, it will also only show you a step you can complete right now at this point in time. If you don't have a step to complete, a message will display to let you know this.
Note for Editors and Administrators: this filter relies on their being dependencies between steps. Applying this filter to a checklist with no dependencies would display in the same way as the Steps to be completed by me filter. Click here for more information on adding dependencies.

Changing the filter will show you other steps and give you an idea of how far through the checklist you are.
